Staff Biography
Ms. Cook is currently involved as a Senior Research Associate on several grants promoting language and literacy. Ms. Cook has also been working on a project to develop a parenting measure. The PICCOLO measure is an easy to use measure of parenting skills developed for use by home visitors and researchers. She has also participated on projects to provide videotaping of home visits for supervisory as well as evaluative purposes, and has focused on the development of instruments and observational coding schemes to study the program's home visiting services. Ms. Cook is ABD in Family and Human Development from Utah State University, with an emphasis on infancy and early child development. The past ten years Ms. Cook has been involved in the Early Head Start Research Consortium.
